New Maine medical marijuana initiative proposed -- Earn $10 per hour gathering signatures on Nov. 6

How would you like to earn $10 per hour simply for asking people to sign a petition?

Maine Citizens for Patients Rights is currently working to place an initiative on theNovember 2009 ballot that will improve Maine's current medical marijuana law.

The new initiative will greatly benefit patients by creating nonprofit dispensaries to help patients get a safe supply of their medicine. It will also establish a statewide ID card system to protect patients from arrest. This change would bring Maine's law in line with the current laws in Rhode Island, Vermont, and most of the other medical marijuana states with a statewide ID card.

The signature drive for the initiative kicks off on Election Day, which is next Tuesday, November 6. If you are able to spend the entire day on Tuesday sitting at a table and energetically collecting signatures, Maine Citizens for Patients Rights wants to hear from you immediately! They will pay you $10 per hour if you are willing to work the entire time the polls are open on Tuesday. Please contact Maine Citizens for Patients Rights by calling (207) 376-3823 or e-mailing info@ProtectMainePatients.org.

With your help, we can enable patients to get a safe and steady supply of their medicine and give qualified patients more protections. Please contact Maine Citizens for Patients Rights today to help make sure this initiative makes it on the ballot.
